Drive units for the Mechrail aluminium crane system

When heavy loads need to be set and kept in motion, or when movement is required over large work areas, the Mechrail crane system can be advantageously fitted with drive units. Powerdrive is an electric drive unit for Mechrail, integrated in the crane system trolleys.

Smooth and progressive drive impetus

Speed is progressively variable via a frequency converter and is controlled with a joystick. The drive unit can be used for drive along both the X and Y axes, and even as a fail-safe brake with the aid of additional controls units. With a 4-way joystick, fast and smart movement is possible along both the X and Y axes at the same time.
