Gripper tools are the part of the lifting equipment that grips the object being handled object – the fingers, as it were, of the lifting device. In addition to its gripping function, the gripper tool often has several complementary functions, such as rotation and tilt.

Sometimes, it also boasts more complex safety features, restricted motion, audio-visual signals or components for communicating with nearby equipment and systems.
