Movomech expands and creates 720 m2 additional production area in a newly built industrial site located next to the existing premises in Kristianstad.
– As a result of the successful introduction of the new profiles AHB140 and AHB190 in 2019, an early decision was made to expand the production premises in order to smoothly handle increasing sales volumes of aluminium crane systems, says Operations Manager Roger Björk.
The newly built production area will be completed during 2020/2021 and equipped with a new logistically optimized workflow process for cutting, packing and loading of aluminium profiles, and will also generate additional storage capacity locally in Kristianstad of the most frequently handled profiles.
– The expansion is also intended to meet the market’s growing demand for shorter lead times for projects of really large volume, explains Roger Björk. Nowadays, we are often expected to be able to deliver large crane systems that will serve ten to twenty workstations in almost as short a time as a single system, and we would like to be able to support our customers with this.
The interior of the new premises is largely made up of our own products. Everything from overhead crane systems, several lifting manipulators for material stacking and bespoke gripper tools are manufactured and installed in-house.
